Magnetic characterization of nanoparticles
In the field of nanomedicine, iron oxide nanoparticles are widely used because they are easily handled when subjected to a magnetic field.
In order to optimize their properties and functionalities, it is necessary to know their magnetic properties.
CMPHY has the magnetization and measurement tools necessary to determine all of their magnetic properties according to their size, arrangement and chemical nature.
In particular, it is possible to measure via the magnetic signature of the material (hysteresis cycle):
- The relative magnetic permeability µr as a function of the applied magnetic excitation
- The remanent magnetic induction Br, at saturation Bsat
- Their coercive magnetic field Hc
